We’re so excited to welcome Maya Connet to the team. Spanning a 13-year sales career that began at Dow Jones, Maya developed long-standing relationships with global brands and tech companies like Google, Adobe, Zoom, and Palo Alto Networks. Most recently, she spent five years at Clari leading commercial and global inside sales during their rapid growth from series C-F and acquisitions of three companies.
With her killer background and love for mentoring others, Maya is now set to lead our sales team into an exciting new chapter as our Vice President of Global Sales. Her passion and experience in building partnerships and aligning value with CEOs and CFOs will be crucial in helping the finance function realize its power to unlock major efficiency gains and become proactive agents of change.
From the very first interview, it was clear that building a company was where Maya thrived the most. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty with us and continue building (and showcasing) a valuable solution for our customers. It also helped that she understood the market that Tropic serves.
Even more important, I knew we could learn from Maya and lean on her during this next stage of growth as a SaaS business. Not only does she have an amazing background, but her energy and “never ever give up” mentality (as she likes to call it) struck a chord with our team.
She embodies the qualities that make growth possible: customer-obsessed, innovative, and resilient. Having been in sales myself, I could appreciate that. In her words: “Successful sales leaders always remain customer-centric and data-driven as they stay nimble, take risks, and drive urgency with their teams. I want us to be a wildly winning team where we push the envelope quarter over quarter and ensure buyers feel taken care of through a seamless customer journey.”
